New Intel next generation processor lineups during CES 2021

At last Intel announced the latest news of the 11th-generation desktop Core processor Rocket Lake and added that it will be available in the first quarter of 2021 during CES2021 event. The 11th-generation Core desktop processor uses the Cypress Cove architecture but it is still houses a 14nm built, an integrated Xe core display, IPC increased by up to 19%, integrated display performance increased by 50%, and AI performance increased by 50%. . the new Rocket Lake-S chips core count has dropped to 8 compared to 10 in the previous generations but it claims to be more efficient than previous one.

The 11th generation Core released so far only the mobile version of the low voltage version has been on the market, but this morning, Intel brought a new mobile standard H processor, which belongs to the Tiger Lake-H35 series. There are three models: i7-11375H SE (special edition), i7-11375H, and i5-11300H. The official said that compared with the 10th generation, the 11th generation standard pressure processor has a single-core increase of 15%, compared with the 11th generation low-voltage single-core increase by 9%; compared to the 11th generation low-voltage processor, the multi-core is increased by 40%.

The first is i7-11375H SE, 4 cores and 8 threads, 3GHz (25W TDP)/3.3GHz base frequency (35W TDP), 5GHz turbo frequency, 12MB L3, 96 groups of EU Xe core display, which can roughly match i9-10980HK

Intel also announced the detailed specifications of its flagship model i9-11900K, 8-core 16-thread design, 5.3GHz turbo frequency, support for 3200MHz DDR4 memory, 20 PCIe 4.0 channels, and backward compatibility with 400 series chipset motherboards. Intel also announced Z590, B560 and H510 chipsets, compatible with 10th and 11th generation Core processors. Despite that, the company promises that the overall performance will be better in the 11th generation models

Intel also announced in advance the 12-generation Core Alder Lake processor with large and small core designs in CES2021. It uses the big LITTLE technology common to mobile chips, which can integrate high-performance and high-performance cores into one chip. Intel said this is x86. Major breakthrough in architecture. Intel predicts that the new Alder Lake will use a 10nm SuperFin process and support a 16-core (8 high-performance Golden Cove cores + 8 high-performance Gracemont cores) and a 24-thread design.

Intel clearly feels the challenge of ARM architecture chips, but at the end of the day depends on the scale of the Windows 10 system’s core scheduling, so that various tasks can be organized rationally to different cores.
