MediaTek has suppressed Qualcomm to become the biggest smartphone chipset vendor in the third quarter of 2020, with a 31-percent market share according to a report. MediaTek has been trying to bounce back since the launch of the Helio series processor, finally, it has achieved its goal to become No.1. Qualcomm is untouched till the second quarter of 2020, but this epidemic year 2020 has made MediaTek processors stand out as the biggest smartphone chipset vendor. MediaTek has seen exponential growth in mid-segment smartphones both in India and China, which made them knockdown Qualcomm. It also sold more than 100 million chipsets globally in the third quarter of 2020.
