At present, the Galaxy S23 smartphones have 1x and 3x portrait zoom options. The 3x telephoto unit comes with a 10MP sensor and a 70mm equivalent focal length. But with the new feature, users will have access to a 2x zoom option that uses the main camera and applies digital zoom and computational photography to produce better results.
The addition of 2x portrait zoom is a welcome one for Samsung users who love photography. The ability to capture stunning portraits with enhanced zoom capabilities will make the Galaxy S23 smartphones even more appealing. It is also exciting to note that once the updated mode arrives for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra, the Galaxy S22 series should follow, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold4.
Samsung has always been at the forefront of innovation, and this new camera feature is just one more example of the company’s commitment to providing its customers with the latest and greatest technology. With this new feature, Samsung is once again raising the bar for smartphone cameras, and it will be interesting to see what else the company has in store for its customers in the future.
