There is a lot of buzz surrounding the rumored release of the iPhone 15 series, with expectations of significant upgrades. The most notable change is said to be the introduction of a brand-new titanium casing, featuring rounder edges for a sleeker design. This subtle yet significant alteration should provide a noticeable improvement in the way the phone feels in your hand, addressing concerns from users who have previously complained about the sharp edges of current iPhone models.

Apple‘s iPhone 15 series is set to feature a new titanium frame and larger cameras, with the individual lens protrusion more than doubling in size from the iPhone 14 Pro. Although the camera bump is thicker, the most noticeable change is the protruding lenses. Interestingly, CAD files suggest that the larger Pro Max model may have a smaller camera protrusion, possibly due to the rumored periscope camera exclusively available in this model. As a result, the iPhone 15 Pro is expected to have a larger camera bump than the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
There are strong rumors that all models of the upcoming iPhone 15 will feature the widely-used USB-C port. Leaked images of a prototype device suggest that the USB-C port will have a distinctive metal surround with a ribbed texture. As expected from Apple, the fastest charging capabilities will be reserved for USB-C cables that have been certified by the company.
The iPhone 15 Pro is set to do away with traditional buttons and mute switches in favor of solid-state haptic buttons, according to the latest reports. This means that two new haptic engines will be specifically designed to simulate the experience of pressing a button. This development was exclusively reported by Filipe Esposito of 9to5Mac. Furthermore, the mute switch will also receive the haptic treatment and will function as a push button. The software implications of this new input method are yet to be seen.
This year, Apple plans to further reduce the bezels on their upcoming iPhone 15 pro model, with bezels measuring only 1.55mm. The front and back glass also exhibit a smooth curved edge that blends seamlessly into the device’s titanium frame.
