Nokia launched new three smartphones at IFA 2022, Berlin

HMD Global expands their X series smartphone lineup with the Nokia X30 5G, priced at EUR 529, as well as the G series for the midrange tier with the G60 5G, priced at EUR 349, and the C series for the budget segment with the C31, priced at EUR 129. The three smartphones ship with beautiful colours: the X30 5G in Cloudy Blue and Ice White colour options; the G60 5G in Pure Black and Ice Gray colour options; and the C31 in Charcoal, Cyan, and Mint colour options.

Nokia X30 5G :

The Nokia X30 5G features a 6.43-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2400) AMOLED display for crisp visuals with a 90 Hz refresh rate and 700 nits of peak brightness. The display is toughened with Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus®, which has IP67 water and dust resistance rating. 

The smartphone has a 16MP front camera and 2 rear cameras; a 50MP main camera, as Nokia calls it “big pixel PureView” with OIS, and a 13MP secondary Ultrawide camera. The lenses are shielded by Gorilla® Glass with DX+. The brains of the smartphone are powered by the Snapdragon® 695 5G SoC with 2 storage variants, i.e., 128GB + 6GB RAM and 256GB + 8GB RAM, and are backed by a 4,200 mAh “2-day battery life”.

It supports 33W fast charging and has an under-display fingerprint sensor. Talking about the connectivity features, the smartphone has all the necessary 5G bands for future-proofing and supports NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band WIFI, and an e-sim on board. The phone comes pre-installed with Android 12 and Nokia promises 3 years of OS and security updates.

Nokia G60 5G:

Unlike the Nokia X30 5G, the G60 5G features a 6.58-inch FHD+ (2408 x 1080) display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 500 nits of peak brightness. The display is protected by Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5, which has an IP58 splash-resistant rating.

The smartphone has an 8MP front camera and 3 rear cameras; a 50Mp main camera, a 5MP Ultrawide and a 2MP Depth camera sensor. Under the hood, the G60 is also powered by the Snapdragon® 695 5G SoC with 3 storage variants, i.e., 64GB + 4GB RAM, 128GB + 4GB RAM, and 6GB RAM, and is backed by a 4,500 mAh “2-day battery life”. It supports 20W fast charging and has a side power key fingerprint sensor. 

The smartphone is packed with the necessary 5G bands, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, dual-band WiFi and an e-sim too. The phone comes pre-installed with Android 12 and will get 3 major Android updates in the future.

Nokia C31:

The budget-focused Nokia C31 has a 6.74-inch HD+ (1600 x 720) display with basic display features and is toughened by 2.5D glass. It has no IP rating whatsoever. The smartphone has a 5MP front camera and 3 rear cameras; a 13MP main camera; and 2MP depth and macro cameras. 

The smartphone is powered by an Octa-Core (4A55 1.6GHz + 4A53 1.2GHz) processor with 3 storage configurations, i.e., 32GB + 3GB RAM, 64GB + 4GB RAM, and 128GB + 4GB RAM, and is backed by a 5,050mAh “3-day battery life”. It supports 10W charging and has a rear fingerprint sensor. The smartphone has basic connectivity features and is on 4G. This phone also comes pre-installed with Android 12 but will only get 2 years of quarterly security updates.

Conclusion :

Nokia smartphones ship with a stock version of Android, which is a thumbs up for the company’s commitment to the software and gives the users a really clean android experience. And the company is focused on eco-friendly products too, like all these newly launched smartphones are made of recycled materials, which creates less E-Waste and prevents soil erosion.
