The Indian government banned many Chinese apps in India. Many Indians called for a Boycott of Chinese smartphones. Despite all this, the report from “ThePrint” claims that the sales of Chinese smartphones increased in October month.

Chinese smartphone manufacturer took the Indian smartphone market many years ago. Even after many protests in the country, the demand for China mobiles is enhancing. Although Indian smartphone manufacturers are trying to take the benefit. However, they need to put more effort to gain brand trust and market share.

According to the report, In October month Indians bought 63.01 lakh Chinese smartphones. In October 2019 the quantity was 46.07 lakh. Even in the pandemic situation and protests to boycott Chinese smartphones, Indians bought 17 lakh more Chinese smartphones compared to last year.

Xiaomi, Vivo, Realme, and OPPO among the four out of the top 5 Chinese smartphone manufacturers in October 2020. India’s smartphone market registered a 42% YoY growth in October 2020.
