WhatsApp recently introduced Companion mode for Android users, which enables linking up to five Android phones to a single account. Now, iOS users can also enjoy this feature as WhatsApp version 23.10.76 for iOS has been released and can be downloaded from the App Store. Similar to Android, the iOS version of the messaging app synchronizes your chat history, ensuring that all messages are delivered to all linked devices while maintaining end-to-end encryption.
However, certain features like messaging broadcast lists and status updates are only available on the “main” device. Furthermore, the latest version of WhatsApp for iOS now automatically plays GIFs in chats without requiring users to tap on the message.
On another note, WhatsApp for business on Android will soon introduce a Status archive feature, which was spotted in a beta version of the software. This feature allows business owners to archive specific account statuses and reuse them as needed in the future.
