Last week, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra leaks were on the internet and Samsung was not happy with this. However, everyone did not know when the phones will launch. According to a former Samsung employee, the Exynos 2200 SoC will not be available in the Galaxy S22 series. This means that all the devices will be Snapdragon 898-powered, and yes, this is for regions like Europe and Asia where Samsung typically uses Exynos chipsets. Unfortunately, we still don’t know if this information is legit, although it seems plausible.
According to speculations, the Exynos 2200 will not have as high a yield as the Exynos 2100, and Samsung will not use it in many countries. This issue appears to be significant enough for Samsung to opt-out, although we are unsure what will happen to the Exynos 2200.
The Galaxy Unpacked for the forthcoming Galaxy S22 series, according to the Samsung employee, will take place on February 8th, 2022. Samsung, like last year, will not wait for pre-orders and will begin taking them on the same day. It’s also possible that we’ll see new Galaxy Buds, but only time will tell.
With that said, I strongly advised you to take this news with a grain of salt. Because the Exynos 2200 is a significant milestone for Samsung since it will be the company’s first SoC to use AMD’s RDNA GPU and Ray Tracing technology.
If Samsung skips it entirely, that will be remarkable. However, considering the state of the mobile business and the chip shortage, anything is possible right now.
