Smartphones nowadays come with immersive specs at an affordable price.
Nowadays budget smartphones surpass the flagship ones in an affiliate category. But recently few models received a price hike owing to this pandemic situation. Accordingly, the 15000 INR segment is the best to start with a smartphone purchase. So here is the list of smartphones that fall in and around the 15000 INR category.
Redmi 10 Prime
Redmi 10 Prime is the new entrant here. Even its higher variant (128 GB) falls under the 15000 category. The phone comes with a 50MP camera and a big 6000 mAh battery, which is also the main feature. Along with that, it carries a 90hz LCD Full HD+ panel, dual speaker setup, Helio G88 Processor, 18W charging support and a lot more along with Xiaomi’s native features. This phone comes with Ram expandable feature which uses internal storage as ram (upto 2GB). The only downside is software, as it is not well optimised and an AMOLED display could have been better. Hopefully, they’ll fix this with a software update. But considering the budget, this phone packs up good features more than its competitors. It also lacks 5G, but considering the 5G establishment in India, this can be neglected in most of the phones.
Realme 8 5G
Being a sibling from its parent Oppo the Realme 8 is a simple yet powerful package. Juiced up with a 5000 mAh battery and Mediatek Dimensity 700 processor, this phone is our next pick in and around 15000 INR. The phone comes with a 6.5 inch full HD+ 90hz LCD and a 48MP quad-camera setup. The phone runs in Realme UI 2.0 with Android 11 on top. This phone is slightly slimmer compared to its competitors, comes with support for dual 5G. It has support for Hi-Res audio. In terms of storage, the phone comes with a dedicated SD card slot so one has not to worry about storage. It also comes with a dual 5G band for enhanced connectivity.

The phone comes with better haptics and is equipped with MIUI 12.5 on top. This phone can be easily recommended to anyone in and around the 15000 budget category. (*Note 10 Pro and Note 10 pro max hasn’t been included in this list because of the recent price hike). Redmi note 10T is another alternative that comes with 5G. In case if you need a Snapdragon alternative, we have the Redmi note 10.
