The new “Delete for Everyone” feature in WhatsApp will eliminate the time limit

Why did WhatsApp put a time limit on deleting communications in the first place is unclear. The new version of ‘Delete for Everyone’ is still in the works.

According to reports, WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will eliminate the time limit for deleting a message from a chat. The ‘Delete for Everyone’ option, which first launched in 2017, had a seven-second time restriction, which was later increased to 4,096 seconds (approximately an hour) in 2018.

Although it’s unclear why the Meta (previously Facebook)-the owned messaging app had a time limit for deleting messages in the first place, things are certainly changing. Users will also be able to remove old messages sent up to three months ago when the upgrade is released. However, the new ‘Delete for Everyone’ is still in the works, and the final version may differ from the current version.

WABetaInfo, a well-known tracker, discovered the revised ‘Delete for Everyone’ on WhatsApp. It is unknown when WhatsApp will make the capability available to everyone, according to the website. Separately, WABetaInfo says that WhatsApp Beta for iOS (v2.21.220.15) will gain a new video playback interface that will allow users to pause, play in fullscreen, or close the picture-in-picture window.

This capability is being received by some iOS beta testers on version 2.21.220.15 of the app. Last month, WhatsApp made this capability available to Android beta testers.

In the meantime, WhatsApp’s web client has been updated with additional functionality. The ability to edit photographs on WhatsApp online, preview links, and a new sticker suggestion are among the new features. WhatsApp announced the news in a tweet on its official account. The company stated that it is updating the WhatsApp site to improve the way people communicate.

Users will be able to add stickers and text, as well as crop and rotate their photographs, from any WhatsApp screen, regardless of size, according to WhatsApp. The photo editor, as the name suggests, would allow users to modify their photos while transmitting them across from their computer.

The firm has now added sticker suggestions to the app, allowing users to locate the appropriate sticker as they type, similar to how the company already does with emoji ideas.
