Swedish brand, Husqvarna debuted 250 twins in India in December 2019. Husqvarna has tied up with KTM motorcycles for sales and service in India. Husqvarna has launched two motorcycles for Indian roads, Husqvarna Svartpilen and Husqvarna Vitpilen. Both these twins have a 250cc engine shared from KTM 250. Both these motorcycles are compliant with the BS6 standard since launch.
The introductory on-road price of both huskies was 1.80 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi, which shocked the motorcycle market, however, now the price has increased to 1.85 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi. Still, huskies stand as the best for the price when compared to other 250cc motorcycles.
Husqvarna Svartpilen is more about riding in an upright position. This fits both for off-road and city rides. Whereas Vitpilen is more about cafe rider and preferable for city rides. Long rides may strain your hands and back, as it has a very aggressive sitting posture. Both these bikes may create uncomfortable for pillion riders, however best for a single rider.
Both huskies have the same engines, a modern fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder four-stroke 250 cc twin overhead camshafts engine. The engine is equipped with an electric starter powered by a 12V/8Ah battery and it achieves its peak power of 23 kW (31 hp) with an impressively punchy torque.
Both these motorcycles come with dual-channel ABS as standard. Both huskies have the same seat height of 842 mm. However, all the specs are the same with both motorcycles, the only difference is the handlebar and riding posture. If you are a cafe racer, go with Vitpilen, and if you are more on the scrambler, your choice will be Svartpilen.
