With a tagline of ‘Mobile Redefined’, Samsung announced their flagship Exynos 2100 chipset which is built upon a 5nm EUV Process and with a better integrated 5G Modem with carrier aggregation.
Powering the processor is ARM’s new cortex X1 core with a max clock speed of 2.9 GHz in Single core. When compared to previous generation processors like 990 series this chip claims to be 30% faster by reducing the power consumption by 20 % and 10 % enhanced performance.

When compared to Snapdragon 888 chipset, both these chips are built on a 5nm EUV process. On a side note, the GPU uses the Mali G78MP14 with 14 cores which in respect delivers double power efficiency. The modem coupled with AMIGO – Advanced Multi-IP Governor can also achieve 7.35 Gbps downlink speeds on an mm-Wave network and 5.1 Gbps on a sub-6 network
On a nightmare, the ISP (Image Signal Processor ) can support up to sensors with 200 MP in Single camera and can process 32MP + 32MP in Dual-camera. In that case, a Snapdragon chip can manage only 3 streams whereas Exynos can manage up to 6 and can collect data from 4. Video can be recorded at an 8K with 60 FPS along with 10-bit HEVC. Since there is a Multi-Camera Frame Processor is embedded, it can give better zoom and ultra-wide shots.
