It’s not even been 2 weeks since the launch of Mi 11, Xiaomi has already started teasing on a new Redmi flagship, the Redmi K40. Much like the Mi 11, the Redmi K40 will also feature the Snapdragon 888 SoC, with the company’s General Manager Lu Weibing already confirming this news through his Weibo account.

Ahead of the official launch, Redmi K40  has leaked multiple times, giving us a good idea about the flagship series. Now, a retail box of the K40 has leaked online. The new leak shows two types of the retail box, one being thinner than the other. The slimmer retail box is said to be due to the absence of the charger.

The Redmi K40 series is set to bring two new phones with itself, with one of them being the K40 Pro. The successor of the Redmi K30 Pro from last year, this new phone will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor under the hood. The phones could feature an AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout in the top-center for housing the front-facing camera. The screen is touted by the company to be the “most expensive” in the industry.

Redmi K40 is expected to come powered by the new upcoming Snapdragon 775G. As for the pricing, the Pro model has already been confirmed to start at 2,998 Yuan, which is about $463. The devices are expected to get launched in February.
