The Apple iPhone 13 range is officially here and depending on where you live, it costs the same as the previous model. According to a report published last week, iPhone 13 prices in some areas could reach around $3000. A new Money Supermarket study has revealed how many hours (or months) people will have to work to afford the brand new iPhone 13 in various parts of the world.
Rather than looking at the entire price of the devices in each region, the study looks at how long someone would have to work to afford an iPhone 13. (the 128GB version). This is because, while some countries may have a cheaper iPhone than others, their minimum income may be lower, making it more difficult for people to purchase one.
Nukeni completed the study, which reveals all of the SIM-free iPhone 13 sales costs, including taxes, on the Apple website for each country. It’s crucial to note that some US states (like Delaware) don’t levy any taxes, which is why the state is listed as the lowest, but it also shows how much it costs in the most expensive states (like Louisiana).
To be fair to Brazil, the country is normally the most expensive in our poll, although depending on the model or storage, buying a new iPhone in Turkey can be more expensive. Customers in Brazil are accustomed to these rates as a result of higher taxes and a weak currency.
Money SuperMarket claims that Brazil is the country with the most costly iPhone 13, similar to what a recent Nukeni investigation found. An iPhone 13 128GB costs roughly $1449 there (or should I say here). A minimum-wage worker in Brazil would have to labour for 86 days to afford a new iPhone.
However, with a minimum wage, Brazil is not the place where the iPhone 13 is the most affordable. In the Philippines, the same model costs $1,025 and requires 97 days of labour to purchase.

The cheapest iPhone 13 128GB is $874 in Hong Kong, and those earning the local minimum wage can buy a new iPhone after just seven days of work. However, Switzerland tops the list of most affordable iPhone 13 countries, with people needing to work for less than 7 days to purchase an iPhone 13 on the local minimum salary.
All figures are based on an 8-hour workday, and iPhone costs were gathered from Apple’s website in each region, according to the research group. The research generated an average tax by state and province to identify the pricing for countries such as the United States and Canada.
Naturally, the cost of an iPhone and other products varies by region, depending on local taxes, currency fluctuations, and other factors.
Starting Friday, September 24, the iPhone 13 will be available in the United States and 30 other countries. The new phones will be available in more than 15 countries in October, according to Apple.
