POCO entered the smartphone market by launching the most affordable SnapDragon 845 chip POCO F1 in 2018. The brand took more than a year to launch its second phone. POCO launched its POCO M2 two months ago. Today in an online event POCO global announced its newest member POCO M3.

POCO M3 has a 6.53″ FHD+ LCD display that features a 90% screen to body ratio. And a 19.5:9 aspect ratio with dewdrop style notch. The device is widevine L1 and TUV Rheinland low blue light certified out of the box.
Performance
POCO M3 features a Snapdragon 662 with 11nm FinFET technology with up to 2.0GHz. And for graphics, it has an Adreno 610 GPU. The device is paired with a 4GB LPDDR4X RAM for faster multitasking and 64GB of UFS 2.1 and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage system for faster write speed. The device storage can be further expanded up to 512GB using the 2+1 MicroSD card slot.
Camera
On the front, POCO M3 has an 8MP selfie shooter. Which is placed in a dewdrop notch. On the back, the device has a primary 48MP sensor with 1/2″ size, f/1.79 aperture. The secondary sensor is a 2MP Macro Camera with a 1.75um pixel size, f/2.4 aperture. The proprietary sensor is a 2MP Depth module with 1.75um pixel size and f/2.4 aperture. Interestingly there is no UltraWide or Telephoto lens are available in the device.
For video recording, the device can record 1080p videos at 30fps and 720p videos at 30 fps.
Battery
POCO M3 has a massive 6000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging with a Type-C charging port. The 18W fast charger will be shipped inside the box.
Other features
POCO M3 is having a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for faster unlocking. And the other features include a Type-C port, 3.5mm Audio jack, Hi-Res audio certified dual stereo speakers, IR blaster, GPS / A-GPS, BEIDOU, GLONASS, Dual-SIM + MicroSD card slot, Global LTE Networks, Bluetooth 5.0, Dual-Band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz / 5GHz), and FM Radio. The device comes with Android 10 and runs MIUI 12 on top.
POCO M3 also has a thin camera bump with less than 1mm, weighs just 198 Grams even with the massive 6000mAh battery.
Design
POCO M3 comes with a refreshing design. And is available in 3 unique Power Black, POCO Yellow, and Cool Blue colors. The back panel of the device has an anti-fingerprint texture for a good hand grip.
Pricing and Availability
The POCO M3 is priced at $149 for the 4GB / 64GB variant and $169 for the 4GB / 128GB variant.
