The Google Pixel 5a has the largest battery of any Pixel device to date.
Google Pixel phones are known for their versatile camera setup and clean software experience. internationally Google pixel phones are less in number. They have only a few models but their model lineup is very well organized. Recently the most hyped pixel phone is the Pixel 6 series.
but owing to the Pixel 6 Series release Google announced the launch of Pixel 5a on August 17th. Pixel 5a is nothing but an upgrade from pixel 4A which was launched a few years ago. Pixel 5a will serve as Google’s affordable phone competing with brands like OnePlus and Apple.

Google pixel 5a: Body and Display
Technically the Google Pixel 5a is nothing but the 5G version of Google pixel 4A with an enhanced battery. The external body is made up of plastic whereas few aluminum touches have been streaked to the walls of its panel.
Display houses a 6.43 inch (2400X1080P) OLED panel with a peak brightness of 800 nits. Fortunately, there is no high refresh rate screen which is something on when compared to smartphones launched in 2021.
Google pixel 5a : Processor and Storage
The Snapdragon 765G SoC (Octa-core (1×2.4 GHz & 1×2.2 GHz & 6×1.8 GHz) combined with 6GB of RAM and 128GB (base) of internal storage powers the smartphone.
On the software front, the phone comes with Android 11 out of the box with a minimum of 3 years of OS and security updates. Since it is a Google product, one can enjoy ad-free clean UI.
Google pixel 5A : Camera
The camera is the same as Pixel 5. On the back, the same 12MP f1.7 primary and 16MP f2.0 secondary cameras are used. There are two ultra-wide cameras on the back, as well as an 8MP f2.0 camera on the front. The spectral + flicker sensor has been removed from the system. It offers the best camera UI with modes like Astrophotography, Dual pixel autofocus, Night mode, etc.
Battery and other stuffs
Powering the phone will be a 4680 mAh battery, which is a 22% leap from the previous predecessor and it has the highest battery capacity on a pic phone ever. The phone can be charged up to 18w with the provided charger in the box and has a USB type C port.
It also comes with IP67 Water and dust resistance. In addition to this, there is also a headphone jack and a dual stereo speaker setup.
Pricing and availability
The smartphone will be available in one color: Mostly Black, which includes forest green overtones and an olive-colored power button. One can expect multiple eye-pleasing cases as an additional bonus.
Initially, this phone was announced in only two countries, the US and Japan. There is no solid evidence for the launch of Google pixel 5a in Indian markets. The pricing of Google pixel 5a will be around $449. The phone can be pre-ordered from now on its Google official website only for US and Japan customers.
The phone’s largest stumbling issue, though, is its restricted availability. Because it’s only available in two countries, there are undoubtedly a lot of people who may be disappointed.
