An enhanced version of Windows 10, the Windows 10X was announced in late 2019 as an operating system powering dual-screen devices. Few days before windows also stated that Windows 10X will be available on dual-screen and foldable devices starting in the mid of 2020.
But in recent years those ethics were changed and modern and upcoming laptops had a chance to power up with windows 10X even they come with a single screen. Windows implementation to single screen PC’s may because of the epic Pandemic situation that risen PC usage.

A working windows central OS running on a PC have been showcased in a viral video. It clearly shows a redesigned UI with all basic Windows 10 kinds of stuff.
Windows 10X based or ARM Architecture
Windows 10X will be based on ARM Architecture because ARM architecture is phone/tablet and it is a lot lower cost to make than Intel or AMD x86 computers but with many restrictions.
According to a screenshot by Zac Bowden, the taskbar was aligned in centre with larger icons and a different start menu. It appears to be user friendly and all the necessary amenities like Outlook, Space, Edge browser was also present on the same. All the apps were launched in full screen and a minimalistic notification tray can also be found.
The start menu even had accessible online music streaming platform’s like Spotify, much-needed Teams by Microsoft and some group calling apps.
Will Windows 10X will be the future of Windows?
Windows 10X is still in the development process as this will be a prototype of current windows 10. App optimization will be less because most apps won’t even adapt to this new UI. Win32 apps will be replaced by Universal Windows Platform and web apps versions that run natively on Windows 10X. Also to save battery background app management will be nil, meaning background tasks will be killed.
In short, it will be a mixture of Chrome OS along with iOS Upcoming Chromebooks, Some laptops and tablets are expected to come up with something new OS that will be launched later this year.
