With days passing in a smart way, smart watches tends to be a part of life and fitness bands take up the runner position. Almost all bands pile up with their fitness bands and there’s an option for each and everyone.
With that being said, mid 2021 two major giants will land up with their updated smart band line-ups. Huawei’s Band 6 and Xiaomi’s Mi Band 6 are at the right time and right place. Let us compare on what they offer on paper

Huawei Band 6 vs Mi Band 6 : Display and Look
Huawei Band 6 first appeared on Huawei Heart Health Research App, featuring a 1.47 inch Amoled rectangular display with a silicone strap along with a heart rate sensor at the back and a single button at side. It weighs 18g without strap . Huawei is skipping with the nimber 5 series and thus offering a huge upgrade from its previous generation.
The Mi Band 6 sports a 1.56 inch Amoled Full screen rectangular display with rounded corners and weighing just 12g. Even it has a silicone strap which can also be customised. Additionally Mi band 6 gets a tempered glass screen protector on top.
Huawei Band 6 vs Mi Band 6 : Features
In terms of activity tracking, the Huawei Band 6 expected to support 96 different sports modes whereas Mi Band 6 supports 30 modes with automatic detection. Both the watches has SpO2 and Blood oxygen level monitoring. Huawei has TruSleepTM 2.0 sleep monitoring, Truseen 4.0 Heart rate monitor, and TruRealax 2.0 pressure monitoring feature. Mi band has 24 hrs BP monitoring and sleep breathing quality tracking.
Both the bands has notification and call alerts along with music control and camera shutter feature.
Huawei Band 6 vs Mi Band 6 : Battery and colour
Huawei band 6 has claimed a battery life of 2 weeks along with magnetic fast charging. It also claims a 5 minute charge can last upto 2 days. Mi band 6 has claimed 14 days battery life. Both the bands has its own watch faces app where each and every watch face can be customised, but Xiaomi offer’s more. Mo band 6 is water resistant upto 50 Atm and Huawei Band 6 can last upto 5 Atm. Both the bands have NFC function whereas in Xiaomi it is optional.
Huawei Band 6 vs Mi Band 6 : Colours, Availability and pricing
Mi band 6 comes in 6 colours and prices for Without NFC – ¥229 ( 2,500 ), With NFC – ¥279 ( 3,100 ). It has already launched in china and global availability is expected soon.
The Huawei Band 6 comes in a total of 4 colors – Amber Sunrise, Forest Green, and Graphite Black and its sale starting from April 4 for RM 219 or right around $53.(as per Malaysian launch)
